Oil Pie Crust

[Uses a 9.5" (24cm) pie form.]

Crust
2 deciliters flour
0.125 teaspoon salt
0.5 deciliters canola oil
< 0.5 deciliters cold water

Combine and mix into a ball. Roll flat on baking paper. Transfer to pie dish. Bake at 175° C for 8 minutes, under a weight, if pre-baking is called for. However, not all recipes require pre-baking.

Use low-protein flour. Try to find under 10%. High protein (12% and higher) will make it turn out like cardboard. If it turns out like cardboard, add ½ teaspoon of baking powder to the dry ingredients.

For gluten-free, Viljatuote valea gluteeniton jauhoseos (ljus glutenfri mjölblanding) works well.
